I haven't been to this place since before Covid. Now returning it has changed quite a bit especially with their prices (took one star off for that) as it seemed that has become the norm for most businesses. Before you could order a crab leg dinner and get one good size crab leg, cluster with either corn, potatoes, and broccoli or french fries for $9.99. This was my go to treat myself after a hard days work or on the weekends. Now it's pick your own frozen crab legs by the pound for $17.99 and they cook it for you sane seasonings as before. I must say they are very big and meaty inside. They still offer corn, potatoes, and broccoli with it or french fries. Expect now to pay about $20-$25 depending on how big of a crab leg you choose. They still do offer other items, such as fried fish with corn, potatoes, broccoli, or french fries. Also crawfish by the pound. Prices has increased a little on these as well. The bigger increase was certainly the crab legs. Quality and taste is still just as good. See photos for updates. There's no longer chairs inside to discourage people from hanging out like before along with the ones coming by trying to sell knockoffs items. Now when place your order, they'll give you a number which you can either stand and wait inside or wait in your car and look for it on the board.

I love this place. Their parking lot is not the cleanest though. They have a deep freezer on the left hand side. You grab a tray and pick out the snow crab clusters as well as the king crab legs. All the seafood prices will be on the wall. The other seafood will be in the glass case. They also have special trays of snow crab clusters with missing legs but you'd have to buy the whole tray. I usually get the snow crabs, crawfish, corn and potatoes with spicy seasoning. They have fat crab legs. Crawfish aren't small either but they're bodies are pretty big. If you want more tail meat, order more.

Let me express my surprise. I stopped in because I was in the area, hungry, and there was a line. Curiosity kicked in and I said why not - pretty glad I did actually. All the other reviews are talking about the actual fresh cooked seafood part so I'll skip that and talk instead about the other things like the Shrimp PoBoy. IMPRESSIVE. $11 for a 14" - which is a whole lot of sandwich. Come with fries and 2 sauces too. Shrimp was lightly fried and tasty. PoBoy came with the standard toppings on some lightly buttered bread. Honestly the sandwich alone gets 5/5. One of the best I've had outside of New Orleans itself and in a really unexpected location. I've been to actual "Po Boy" restaurants in the city and this blew them all out of the water taste wise. I'll be back to try the other stuff for sure.

When I want some garlic blue crabs and something like a seafood boil I come to VIP New Orleans Seafood. It's a seafood market/restaurant with a lot of seafood choices. The Resturant is a small counter service establishment, with displays of fresh seafood. There's a deep freezer, you can pick out your own crab legs and etc.. The Resturant was am little busy. I ordered a pound of extra large shrimp, crab legs, sausage with potatoes and corn. It was really good. Next time I would like to try some of the other items on the menu.
